ABOUT THE AUTHOR<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Orwoll is an author, journalist, and lifelong fan of John Wayne’s movies. In researching the book, Orwoll watched each of John Wayne’s existing films (a handful have been lost to history and poor film preservation) at least twice to ensure the accuracy of the quotes. He is also the author of e-Travel<\/em> (Macmillan), one of the first books on planning travel by using the Internet. For 30 years he was on the staff of Travel + Leisure<\/em> magazine, and nowadays writes about his travel adventures in many outlets, including Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler, <\/em>the Travel Channel, The Points Guy, Matador Network, Frommer’s, Departures<\/em>, the Sydney (Australia) Morning Herald<\/em>, and many other magazines and websites. He lives with his wife, Kathy, and their bordoodle, Penny, in New York’s Lower Hudson Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
